Here are some pictures of our fabulous night of dancing, shopping and some fashion posing...

Despite the cool spring evening, TR was flooded with the cool kids of Toronto.
The music was boppin, the champagne was pouring and ladies were shopping up a storm, while having a piece of Terry's delicious (Betty Crocker) cake! We also had the TR video playing in the background made by Ms. Whitney, with music provided by the faithful Justin of My Liner Notes. All in all, it was the perfect 1 year party, and I thank all of you who made this night sooo memorable for me! Tabula Rasa is 1!!!

Lookbook Videos: Behind the Scenes

This spring season we're excited to debut our first ever video lookbook series! The mini fashion films set the tone for each collection and are a perfect way to mark our first anniversary! Behind the Scene looks from the Spring Photoshoot!

An all day photoshoot can generally be the longest, most strenuous day. Especially when we had planned on shooting 5-8 editorial looks and over 30 lookbook shots all in one day! We were also, battling a forecast that called for all day rain.. Yeah.. you can say I was pretty stressed out! In this case, we had one of the most successful, and energetic photoshoots here at a TR. This was due to our amazing talented team, and the fact that we were fortunate enough to have the rain clear up and even have the sun remind us that summer is just around the corner.

Our team was incredible! Everyone from hair (by Sean Godard) and makeup (by Cody Alain), Matthew Chow (our stylist) to our model Danielle Knudson from Sutherland! And wait till you see some of the photos Greg Swales has been working on... it will just knock your socks off! Greg has photographed all of my past lookbook and editorial shots, so if you're impressed with what you've seen... wait in 2 weeks and you'll see what I'm talking about!!!

So to feed your curiosity, I will be releasing some photos that Greg has shot leading up to our 1 year anniversary party... but until then, here are some behind the look scenes from our day!

Spring/Summer 2011 Photoshoot!!!

The TR photoshoot is only a few hours away, and I'm super pumped to be working again with my friends Greg, Matthew, Danielle, Sean, Cody and Whitney!! Bringing you our favourite looks from the Spring runways and our favourite vintage finds, we've come up with five collections that will have you covered this summer.

High Tide: 80's Surfer Chic! Think tie-dies, corals, deep blues, straw hats and leather sandals. Electric one-piece bathing suits styled with your bf's oversized denim shirt!

Mon Cheri: "Paris in the Springtime" Pastel tones and floral patterns is one of our favourite looks for this Spring! Always fresh and feminine this look is timeless and oh-so-chic for the girly-girl inside us all!

Block Party: "A Punch of Colour" We're soo thrilled to see such bright, bold colours after a few seasons of neutrals and pastels. (Think Gucci and Celine 2011) So bring it! Mix and match bold primary and saturated colours with basic white/black, and you're sure to be an instant hit!

New Tribe: African Lion Safari Probably one of the hottest looks this season, we want to bring out the inner animal in you! Leopards, snakeskins, zebras oh my! Pair these prints with khaki tones, shades and strappy wedges and you're ready to take on the heat!


Black Cat: The Cool Kids Dedicated to one of my favourite dj's in Toronto... Dj Blackcat.. this look is all about the downtown girl who knows where its at! Long black maxi dresses, edgy geometric cut-out blazer, raw edges and combat boots makes this chick too cool for summer school!

New something else items in store perfect for transitioning into spring with. The zip side sweater and zip front tank are both done in a salt and pepper knit, and are a perfect weight for april's sunny mornings and cool evenings. The dome dress is light and airy with peekaboo shoulders and features a beautiful abstract print that Something Else has become known for. Finally, the tie shirt is done in a light denim and has a beautiful shape; cropped in the front and longer in the back that can be paired with almost anything in your wardrobe. We love this Australian brand!
